Canon printer error B203 is one of the most common errors faced by Canon users.

You can get B203 error due to paper jamming, damaged printhead, empty cartridges, connection error etc. Whenever you get into this error, try to fix the error manually. If you are unable to troubleshoot your issue then go for Canon Support Code B203

Check for the paper jam

Whenever you get the B203 error, check for the paper jam. Paper jamming is a very common error in old printer models and can get you into various issues. Paper jam in Canon printers occurs when the dust or paper gets stuck inside the printer. You have to remove the paper chunks or dust to fix the paper jamming. Open the access door of your Canon printer and check for the dust or other junk. Remove all the junk and then check your paper rollers. Paper rollers sometimes draw multiple pages which cause paper jam. After fixing the paper jam, close the access door. Now give a print command from your device and check whether your B203 gets fixed or not.

Check the connection

If you are getting a B203 error on your wireless printer then check your router. Sometimes your router gets disable and starts showing your various connection errors. You must have a physical WPS pin for connecting your Canon printer to the network. Turn off your router and open it again and then check for the connection. If the connection is weak then place the Canon printer near to the router. If you are using a faulty router then you have to fix it. You can try connecting your Canon printer to a device with a USB cable. If your printer is still showing the error then you should ask for technical help.

Check your ink cartridges

Error B203 can appear due to the cartridges issue. Check the ink level on your cartridges. If the ink level is very low then you should replace the cartridge. If you want to take good quality printouts then never use third-party cartridges. They not only ruin the quality of your printouts but can also damage the printer. But if the original cartridge seems costly then you can also refill the cartridges. Refill your Canon ink cartridges carefully. Make sure the lid of ink drums is properly closed otherwise the ink may spill inside the printer. After refilling the cartridges, try to take a printout. If you are getting the error after reinstalling the cartridge then check for the contact pin. People sometimes forget to remove all the protective tapes and clips from the cartridge. Open the access door of your printer and check for all the protective tapes. Make sure you have removed the protective tapes from your contact pins. Now restart your printer and check whether your Canon error gets fixed or not.

Check the Canon printer driver

The Canon printer driver is a connection bridge between the printer and the PC. Your printer driver conveys the PC print command to the Canon printer. You must have a working printer driver to take printouts. If your printer driver gets outdated then you must update it immediately. Visit the Canon website and check for the driver update. You must install the correct driver update. After updating, check whether your Canon printer error gets troubleshooted or not. If your Canon printer driver gets corrupted then you should restore all the corrupted files immediately. If you can’t restore the corrupted files manually then try the driver update tool. Driver update tool can restore and update all the corrupted and outdated drivers on your device. After restoring all the corrupted drivers, restart your device and then give the print command. If your Canon printer is still showing you the same error then ask the Canon technical team for help.
